The Team

Founding Editor — Carter D. Reese

I grew up in Old Hickory, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. In my last year of college at Tennessee Tech, I married my wife, Carly, and together we have built a home with our three daughters: Ruth, Hazel, and Faith. Our family is also joined by Mila, our small poodle who loves to chase motorcycles, and Pablo, our beatboxing cockatiel. We currently call Dallas, Georgia, home.

My childhood was filled with days on the baseball field, a fishing pole in my hand, and a love for learning. I hold a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, but along the way, I discovered that creativity was also a part of who I was created to be.

Today, I enjoy spending time in nature, writing creatively (whether a poem or a song), and attending Sunday service. Much of my joy comes from the simple things—time with my girls, a quiet morning, a good cup of coffee or tea, a candle that creates a restful atmosphere, and a home-cooked meal.

I am a morning person who appreciates early nights, changing seasons, and especially the beauty of fall. One day, I hope to earn my falconry license—a dream that combines my love of creation, curiosity, and adventure.

Above all, I love resting in the beauty of simple moments—a gift that took me a long time to discover. Peace, rest, and God's Kingdom are here among us now, and it is wonderful to walk in them today. Yes, there are difficult days, but each day the Lord teaches me a deeper kind of love as I walk through His amazing story.
